Charlotte Criminal Defense Attorney Robert DeCurtins

I was born March 20, 1954, in Miami, Florida, and graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 1976 with a bachelor’s of science in criminology.

In 1977, I graduated second in my class from Lincoln M. Zonn, Institute of Polygraph. I was then trained on interrogation techniques by homicide detectives who administered polygraph examinations for the Dayton, Ohio, Police Department. I conducted approximately 8000 polygraph exams and was licensed in North Carolina for a number of years.

Graduating from the University of Dayton School of Law, in Dayton, Ohio, with a juris doctor degree in 1983, I worked as an assistant public defender for a year and a half in Charlotte, North Carolina. I started the DeCurtins Law Office in 1985, and my practice concentrates on criminal defense. I am a member of the North Carolina State Bar, Mecklenburg County Bar and the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers.
